I live in a magical world of wildlife here in the east Kootenays! There is an abundance of deer, elk, moose, wolves, cougars and black bear, as well as all the feathered folk. Takaya Lone Wolf
In memory of Takaya Lone Wolf, a coastal wolf that touched the hearts of so many, mine included. Stardust Warrior is a painting of Takaya in the afterlife. Some symbolism exists in the painting: the lone tree, the moon featuring the Songhees symbol for fish, and the feathers in his fur. In my heart I feel he is still out there roaming his islands, I hope he has found peace.

Chester the hungry Grizzly resulted from a combination of my concerns for the wild salmon and their crucial requirement for a sustainable and balanced ecosystem, and my very high respect for the grizzly and their ever dwindling territory. I've had many bear encounters during my environmental field work, all of which I can report have ended on a happy note for both parties! Chester and the salmon represent my love and respect for our precious BC wildlife.
